01Understanding cookies and trackers
A cookie or other tracker stores or reads information on your device. Trackers that are not strictly necessary generally require prior consent. Trackers essential to a service expressly requested may qualify for an exemption.
02How the information website works
The website uses Google Analytics 4 to measure its audience only with your consent. The tag is disabled on the private preview and loaded on iotill.com only after acceptance. Before your choice or if you refuse, this integration makes no calls to Google Analytics.
The FR / EN selector stores your chosen language in the technical cookie iotill_language for one year. When you arrive on the French homepage, that choice takes priority; otherwise, the site uses your browser’s preferred languages, which usually reflect your device settings. Direct links to a page retain their language. This cookie is not used for audience measurement.
The form keeps steps and entered information in page memory. Entries are not stored in cookies or browser local storage. Requests are sent to Intercom by the server; no Intercom chat widget is loaded in the browser.
03Audience measurement cookies
After acceptance, Google Analytics may set _ga cookies and _ga_ cookies followed by the stream identifier. They distinguish visits and sessions for audience statistics. Their configured lifetime on this website is limited to one year, without automatically extending it on each visit.
After acceptance, iotill performance tracking also uses browser session storage (iotill_journey) to link pages, clicks and form steps within one visit. This identifier expires after 30 minutes of inactivity or four hours at most. Events are retained on OVH for 90 days, without form-field values. With your consent, it may also compare button labels and measure requests associated with each version. No additional identifier is stored for these experiments. Withdrawing consent deletes this identifier and stops collection and experiment participation.
The iotill_analytics_consent_v2 cookie remembers acceptance or refusal for 180 days. It is used only to apply your choice and avoid asking again on every page.
The “Manage my cookies” link at the bottom of each page lets you change your choice. If you withdraw consent, collection is disabled and accessible Google Analytics cookies on the domain are deleted.
04Context of your request
Link parameters and the referring domain may accompany your request to identify its source page, campaign and button. This does not involve setting a cookie; the processing is described on the Privacy page.
05Hosting and technical cookies
The final website is intended to be hosted by OVHcloud in France. Depending on the plan and configuration, hosting may use cookies strictly necessary for the service to work.
For shared web hosting, OVHcloud describes a “SERVER ID” cookie: it keeps the connection on the same server while browsing, with a stated lifetime under 24 hours. This describes that OVHcloud service; it does not assert that the present preview already sets this cookie.
The current private preview uses its hosting platform’s authentication. Cookies associated with that access are separate from those of the final OVHcloud website.
06Consent and settings
“Decline” and “Accept audience measurement” let you choose freely. Refusal does not block browsing or the contact form. Making no choice does not constitute consent.
You can change your choice at any time through “Manage my cookies”. Your browser also lets you delete existing cookies. Technical cookies necessary for hosting remain separate from audience measurement.
