Sold out? Update your kiosks from the POS.
From the iotill POS, you can mark an item as sold out or unavailable. Availability can be managed manually and/or automatically so kiosk ordering reflects available items.
Manually, during service
A product is no longer available? Your team marks it from the POS.
Automatically, according to your configuration
Unavailability can be triggered automatically by zero stock or by schedules.
On the kiosk, an out-of-stock item remains visible: it is greyed out and labelled “Unavailable”.
Hiding a button: a separate feature
Hiding an item or category button is a separate feature: it hides that button on the kiosk. This differs from an item that remains visible but unavailable.
In a fast-food business or food truck equipped with a kiosk, this feature lets self-service ordering reflect actual item availability during service.

- Does the iotill POS prepare electronic invoicing?
- The POS, iotill Cloud Scale, Pocket and kiosks share the iotill software base. Business management, also accessible in iotill Cloud, prepares Factur-X invoices and the documents and data for e-invoicing and e-reporting. Your reseller specifies the transmission setup for your business.
- What can customers do with the QR code on an iotill receipt?
- On their smartphone, customers scan the QR code on a receipt issued by an iotill checkout, ordering kiosk or scale. They can create their compliant invoice, customer account and/or loyalty card. These services are independent: customers choose the ones they need.
- Can losses be recorded from the POS?
- Yes. Select “Declare losses”, add products and quantities, enter a reason for each product (expiry, breakage or another reason), then validate. A dedicated losses dashboard and multi-format exports are available at the POS.
- How do you add stock from the POS?
- Scan products or select them on screen, enter the quantities to add, then validate the list. This operation adds stock quantities.
- Are purchase prices required for stock valuation?
- Yes. Stock valuation requires product purchase prices to be entered. It complements monitoring of available quantities.
- Can several sellers work on a single till or scale?
- Yes. Several sellers can share a single all-in-one till or a single iotill Cloud Scale. Each selects their seller button to manage their sale. Multi-seller operation therefore also works without multiple tills.
- Can I print a credit voucher and a price-free gift receipt?
- Yes. The POS can print a credit voucher for the customer, with validity configured in iotill Cloud. A gift receipt is a separate, price-free exchange receipt.
- Can I create my own payment types?
- Yes. In addition to cash, bank cards, meal vouchers and cheques, you can create custom payment types.
