The scale ticket is then retrieved at checkout by QR code or from the list of tickets not yet checked out, including all item details.

Supervised self-checkout
As an additional option, iotill Self-Checkout lets customers scan, weigh relevant goods and pay. An operator supervises the area and handles alerts and required approvals.
A shared catalogue
Products, prices and promotions are shared across tills in iotill Cloud. Sales are consolidated by workstation and store for an overview of your convenience store.
Two different weighing functions
On an equipped Self-Checkout, product weighing calculates the price. The bagging-area scale checks items placed there and can trigger an alert for the operator to handle.
Payment options
The Self-Checkout’s integrated terminal accepts card, contactless and mobile payments. An iotill Cash recycler module can add cash acceptance and change.

- Is there a stated limit on the number of products?
- Catalogue sizing is part of project planning. Share your product count during the demonstration to confirm the right configuration.
- Can I add a cash recycler?
- Compatible Glory cash recyclers integrate with iotill solutions. The model and connection must be checked for each workstation.
- Can payments and weighing be part of the same project?
- Yes. Compatible payment terminals and both available weighing setups can be considered as part of your POS installation.
- Does self-checkout remove the need for supervision?
- No. The installation includes supervision: an operator assists customers and handles alerts, cancellations and required approvals.
- Does the checking scale set the price?
- These are different functions. Product weighing calculates the selected item’s price; the bagging area checks items placed there. Your reseller defines suitable equipment and workflow.
- What can customers do with the QR code on an iotill receipt?
- On their smartphone, customers scan the QR code on a receipt issued by an iotill checkout, ordering kiosk or scale. They can create their compliant invoice, customer account and/or loyalty card. These services are independent: customers choose the ones they need.
